HOW TO GENERATE A CROSSWORD

This section will detail how you can generate your entire crossword from a single theme (if you wish, you can combine the creation with this generating part). Navigate the menu on the side to quickly find the desired topics

STEP BY STEP

To generate a crossword through a theme you must follow these steps:

1. Click on the robot icon () in the menu to your right
2. In the window that opens, type the desired theme in the field
3. Adjust the number of words the crossword will have through the bar or directional arrows
4. Click on the "GENERATE" button for your crossword to be processed by our AI

RECOMMENDATIONS

- If your theme is not generated, try reloading the page, and if the error persists, describe your theme differently (don't worry, you can change the title later)

- Check the generated answers and hints, you can change them by clicking on each one respectively

- For the number of words, keep in mind the target audience that will play your creation and the difficulty of the theme chosen (crosswords with 15 to 30 words tend to be well accepted in general)

WHAT NOT TO DO

- Avoid very complex themes

- Avoid very abstract themes

- Avoid giving the answer in the hints

- Remember that you know the answers, but your target audience doesn't. Try creating hints that everyone knows how to answer

HOW TO CREATE A CROSSWORD

This section will detail how you will create your own crossword from scratch (if you wish, you can combine the generation with this creating part). Navigate the menu on the side to quickly find the desired topics

WHERE TO START

In the card below with the title "WORDS", click on the field with the description "example" and type your first word (don't worry, you can change it later). Press the "ENTER" button on your keyboard or click on the "" button

Once this is done, you will notice that the following will appear:

1. Inside squares, a word on the screen:
This will be the word that your target audience will have to guess
2. In the "WORDS" card, a word:
This is exclusive to you, you can change (click on it) or delete it, which will reflect on the word that appeared on the screen
3. In the "HINTS" card, a hint:
Here you will give the hint of the word to your target audience. Notice that each hint and each word has a numbering, so the hint: 1 - what is "example" describes the word 1 - example and so on.
BEFORE CONTINUING
- Change the word and the description by clicking on the generated texts
- Create at least 2 words

HOW TO MOVE THE WORDS

To move the created words, you must fit them together according to the corresponding letters. To do this, you have two alternatives:

1. move each word uniquely, as you want to fit them
2. move all words automatically, making them fit with just one click

POSITION ALL AUTOMATICALLY

To position all words automatically, you must click on the gear icon () in the menu to your right. If a word is not fitting, try a few more times, and if the error persists, check the spelling. Uppercase and lowercase words will be considered the same, but words with and without accents will not

UNIQUE MOVEMENT

All words are initially fixed, which means you will not be able to move them. To change this behavior and move each word uniquely:

Click this icon to allow the word to be moved
Click, hold and drag within the area to move the word
1 Now that you have moved your first word, update the word you want to move:
- Use this directional arrow to move forward one word
- Use this directional arrow to move back one word

ACROSS x DOWN

You can also change your word between across and down; To perform such action, just click on the icon (), but remember to allow the word to be edited ()
